Yves Tumor
Since launching under this alias in 2015, Tennessee-born auteur Yves Tumor has had one of the most interesting career trajectories in contemporary electronic music: from the emotional, impressionistic plunderphonics of their PAN-released debut Serpent Music (2016), they bounced towards mysterious psychedelic pop on his second album Safe in the Hands of Love, turning up the pop maximalism and glamour with each subsequent release. Drawing equally on 1970s art rock and today's electronic vanguard, Tumor's fusion style has made them a key figure in the indie landscape, walking a tightrope between the pop establishment and the experimental scene: they are signed to Warp Records and have collaborated with James Ferraro, Kelly Moran or Croatian Amor, but also played at Coachella and appeared on tracks by Joji and Willow Smith. Their most recent release is the 2023 album Praise a Lord Who Chews but Which Does Not Consume; (Or Simply, Hot Between Worlds).
