Volant
Singer, guitarist and founding member of the Pardubice punk band Volant Pavel Milichovský founded the band in 1995.
A characteristic feature of Volant's sound is the saxophone in the hands of Zdeněk Mašek, which complements and enlivens the otherwise classic guitar line-up. The band has eight members in its full line-up, but, in the words of frontman Milichovský, they perform in concerts with only five members, depending on how it suits them.
The main strength and driving force of the band is simplicity and the most important thing for them is a simple, well-functioning song. This works very well at energetic gigs and the band believe that straightforward songs on classic three chords, combined with varied lyrics, are the ideal way to entertain the audience and themselves.
