Walicki-Popiołek Duo

Walicki-Popiołek Duo is an unusual ensemble combining guitar and piano. Aleksandra Popiołek-Walicki (pianist) and Jakub Walicki (guitarist) have been working together since 2014. In their joint project, they search for original sounds in the music of Spanish and Argentinian composers, engage Polish contemporary artists in their projects, and arrive at innovative solutions in the works of contemporary composers. The artists establish numerous collaborations with composers and arrangers, perform previously unrecorded works, support the development of chamber guitar and piano music. They have won numerous competition awards.
