Nanga

When the Polish mainstream rock supergroup Lao Che announced its hiatus, many fans couldn't get over it and started wondering what their favourite artists were going to do next. As it soon turned out, the world abhors a vacuum, and artists of this class do not intend to sit idly at home. The band was brought to life by Filip Różański (playing keyboards in Lao Che) and Maciej Dzierżanowski (responsible for the drums). Vocal duties were filled by Magda Dubrowska (known from the groups Utrata Skład and Gang Śródmieście). With time, in concert situations, they were joined by saxophonist Karol Gola (who played in Lao Che and Pink Freud, among others). Nanga's music is based on a synthesis of sounds generated by samplers and other electronic devices with the live sound of instruments and Dubrowska's characteristic vocals. So far, they have released the LP Cisza w bloku (2020) and the EP Jesień w Pekinie (2021).
