New York-based artist Alexandra Drewchin makes maximalist, overwhelming and often dystopian avant-pop under the pseudonym Eartheater, amplifying her signature brand of eerie chamber folk with industrial bursts of noise and dissonance. She made her debut in 2015 on Hausu Mountain, a key label of the Chicago experimental circuit; wide recognition came with her releases for the Berlin imprint PAN, during its dominance of the then flourishing deconstructed club scene. In addition to her solo work, she has collaborated with avant-folk duo Leya, post-hardcore act Show Me the Body and experimental rapper Moor Mother; she also produced the debut EP by Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon.
