The Yawpers

The Yawpers sound as if the Butthole Surfers along with the Cramps decided to create a wild country and blues record. Their third album Boy In A Well was released last summer - like the excellent predecessor American Man (2015) - on the legendary Chicago label Bloodshot Records. The band is pursuing a very expansive vision of rock 'n' roll, one that picks up and mixes up a variety of traditions: folk, punk, rockabilly, alternative country, garage rock, blues - whatever they find. And you should definitely watch The Yawpers live. Comparisons with bands such as the Cramps, Butthole Surfers, The Damned, MC5, Blood On The Saddle, Alex Harvey, Ween or O'Death are no coincidence, and so the band returns to Germany in 2019 with their acclaimed live shows.
