The Swag Jam: E-Turn + Leona Berlin + DJ Wan.illa Nice

An underground phenomenon, The Swag Jam started as a jam session where some of Berlin's top musicians got together to play live hip hop beats. They started to attract Berlin's vibrant underground rap and hip hop scene and it has now grown into a popular event in which hip hop lovers, artists, and musicians mingle party and jam together. In between sets a guest DJ keeps the party alive.

One of Florida’s most talented MCs, E-Turn, is in the building tonight. Her diverse background in cultural music stems from a lifelong journey through Persian vocals, tribal drumming, Iranian poetry and lyrical Jazz, which shape her raps until today.

Second special is the homegirl Leona Berlin who released her debut album last autumn. Musically, she packs her view of the world into atmospherically dense neo soul with jazzy influences and pop-like structures, with trace elements of R’n’B, soul and hip-hop.

On top of that, Berlins queen of hip hop culture DJ Wan.illa Nice (aka istillLoveher.de) will be performing on the decks.
