A hilarious piece of storytelling and object theatre that tells the adventurous story of Larry Walters, who built a flying machine out of a lawn chair and balloons.

Looking for a tale of adventure, drama, and slapstick? Look no further than for Larry, an average American in the 1980s who is determined to fly. Driven by his big dream, he sets himself up in his garage and starts building. The heart of his flying machine: a lawn chair and balloons.

One actor with a box of fruit tea invites you to his kitchen table. Over a cup of tea, he tells the true story of Larry Walters, the most flightless pilot who ever took off. Using only a few objects found on the kitchen table – tea bags, a cup, a lighter, and a knife – the actor weaves a wild tale exploring the endless chase after the dreams in one’s life. A humorous piece of storytelling and object theatre.
