The Raveonettes
The Raveonettes is a Danish noise pop music duo consisting of Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo. The group was founded in 2001 in Copenhagen.
The band is one of the main representatives of the garage rock revival movement. Their work is characterised by two-part vocal harmonies combined with a noise arrangement. In their songs, the duo combines the straightforward structures of fifties rock, references to the work typical of sixties girl groups and surf rock-infused guitars with intense electronic instrumentation, driving rhythms and dark lyrics.
Their debut album Chain Gang of Love was released in 2003.
