The Grogans + support: Betty Taylor

The Grogans are three best friends from Melbourne who play a variety of music, primarily based on popular surf-rock. Their sound is complemented by hints of blues rhythms, dirty grunge/punk grooves and even laid-back reggae. The Australian band will be playing at Café V lese on September 18, 2024.

The trio met through mutual friends and began jamming during high school, forming the band The Grogans in 2016. They began playing at friends and families' parties, then released their debut EP Cacteyed at the end of the year, which featured the song Pot Head Artist. The release of their second EP Twangs n' Cans(2017) and the development of the band's engaging live show helped create opportunities to support larger touring bands passing through Melbourne such as Northeast Party House, Dear Seattle, Drunk Mums, The Chats and Polish Club. 2019 was the year The Grogans released their debut album and began touring Australia more regularly, selling out shows all over Melbourne - including venues such as Howler, Workers Club, Yah Yah's and Cherry Bar, as well as in various cities.
