The Darvish

Darvish is a non-binary Syrian belly dancer, self-taught dancer, writer and organizer of cultural events and performance parties. After immigrating to Berlin in 2016, Darvish started to explore more and more gender identities and artistic expressions, especially questioning the relationship between social boundaries and performance art.

Projects of Darvish are Yalla Hafla, a show celebrating Mediterranean cultures and sounds, Queens Against Borders, Berlin's biggest solidarity party with trans/queer refugees.
