As natural resources dwindle, the struggle for life begins. The worst drought in 40 years has reignited a long-dormant conflict between indigenous people and the descendants of British colonialists in northern Kenya.

The Samburu are trying to save their herds – their only source of livelihood – and allow them to graze even in forbidden areas, such as private farms and reserves. Opposing them, a family with British roots protects their property and the valuable nature around them. The Laikipia region is home to both pastoral communities and fourth generation white Kenyans. Now this paradise is a battlefield, as old but deep wounds have been reopened by the effects of climate change.
