Magda Ter is one of the few Polish artists playing live on modular synthesizers. She has played at Unsound, Tauron Nowa Muzyka Festival, Open Source Art, performed solo and in bands such as Brasil or the Gallowbrothers Band, and collaborates regularly with Mirt. Her debut solo album Fingerprints was warmly received by listeners and critics, both Polish and foreign. Just like her latest one entitled. Remains, which evolved from an album based on samples and rigidly binding sequences, to a freer form thanks to improvised tracks on a modulator. It’s a compromise between static, experimental background music and soothing techno flashes and sparse gong or bell samples. For this reason, Ter’s music cannot be classified in a single genre.
