Symphonic Concert
From this year until 2020, the Janáček May International Festival sets out on the ambitious project of introducing all the symphonies by Bohuslav Martinů. Quite symbolically, this project will be launched by the highly acclaimed Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra, Zlín. Václav Riedlbauch has been among the notable figures of the Czech musical life for years, though his organizational and managerial activities sometimes unfairly overshadow his achievements as a composer. One of the most-beloved violin concerts will be performed by the 2012 winner of the prestigious QueenElisabeth Competition in Brussels, Belgium.
Programme: – Václav Riedlbauch: Macbeth – Bohuslav Martinů: Symphony No. 2 – Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky: Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 35
