On 21 March, the day of the spring equinox, a date once celebrated by all peoples of Europe, three concerts of bands referring in their work to their Slavic roots will take place. During the event, the customs and rituals associated with this day will also be presented.
Derwana plays Slavic rock – full of mysteries, undiscovered lands, fairy tales and yet unknown stories. A journey to the old and most magical places. Strong vocals, rich instruments, violin, flutes, unusual atmosphere. Wilderness and nature. Stara Śpiewka is composed of 13 women of all ages, lovers of traditional Slavic folk songs. Their old singing creates an unusual atmosphere on stage – polyphonic, unique, often archaic songs, accompanied by theatrical elements and choreography, often staging rituals. The programme will be complemented by Summana, whose work is a combination of original compositions and traditional songs from different parts of the world. It mixes African rhythms, Slavic songs and gypsy melodies.
