Sveta Ben & Galya Chikiss

Collaboration between two legends of the Belarusian avant-garde scene, Sveta Ben (ex-Silver Wedding) and Galina Ozeran (Chikiss), two artists with a rich creative background. In their new duo, Sveta is responsible for poetry and music, while Galina is the wizard of arrangement and sound production. Their first joint album, Приём! (eng.: Over!) was released on 16 December 2022. It's a collection of nine songs and one poem that presents a range of emotions, from hopeless despair to desperate hope. The album explores emptiness, darkness and the hope coming out of human connection within it. Musical arrangements on the album take inspiration from synth music, post-punk and use a folk instrumentation to create a unique, somehow cabaret, gloomy atmosphere.
