Sóley

Sóley Stefánsdóttir, also known as Sóley – an Icelandic-born singer, pianist, songwriter and member of the indie-folk band Seabear. In 2010, she released the six-song EP Theater Island, which preceded the release of her debut album We Sink. It proved to be a bestseller across Europe, with the single Pretty Face racking up over 10 million views on Youtube. Since then, Sóley has released three more LPs and other works, spanning musical genres from dream-pop to experimental and progressive compositions for accordion and voice. In her career, Sóley has also worked on music and sound for theatre, as well as films, radio programmes, dance works and short films. She is a lecturer in music composition at the Icelandic Academy of Arts.
