– Czech carols (arr. T. Frantis)
The leading Czech classical music representatives, members of the Czech Philharmonic and their foreign guests will meet on the stage of Suk Hall in Rudolfinum on Saturday, December 7 at 7:30 pm, all connected by playing double-reed instruments – oboes and bassoons. They will present a concert featuring works by great authors such as Eugen Bozza, František Xaver Thuri, and Richard Rodgers. The soloists will be accompanied by a double-reed orchestra with more than fifty oboe and bassoon players. The orchestra will be led by the conductor and oboe player Vojtěch Jouza. The Christmas atmosphere is evoked by a mix of carols for a double-reed orchestra, choir, and harpsichord.
