Skansen Kurpiowski w Nowogrodzie
The open-air museum established on 19 June 1927 by Adam Chętnik as the Kurpie Museum. It is the second oldest museum of folk architecture in Poland. The open-air museum does not reproduce the spatial layout of the Kurpie village, but presents traditional wooden buildings. Visitors can see 34 buildings, among which a log cottage from the village of Baranowo, dating from 1805, deserves special attention. An interesting construction element is a long beam, visible inside, running through the entire length of the cottage, the so-called tram. The interior furnishing of the cottage refers to the 1960s in the Kurpie region.
