Sirkka-Liisa Kaakinen-Pilch

She is an extremely versatile violinist. She performs music of all eras with a particular emphasis on repertoire from the 17th to the 19th century. She also plays viola and viola d'amore. She often leads orchestras as concertmaster or conducts from the front desk. Sirkka-Liisa conducts numerous well-known early music ensembles and orchestras, performing music of the Baroque and symphonies of the Mozart and Schubert eras. Her solo repertoire includes Biber's Mystery Sonatas, Bach's Sonatas and Partitas and works for solo violin from the 16th and 17th centuries.
