About Sheck Wes

Harlem native Khadimou Fall, known professionally as Sheck Wes, made his name with hostile wildcard rhymes championed by Travis Scott and Kanye West. Born in Harlem to Senegalese parents, Sheck Wes grew up obsessed with three things: basketball, fashion, and music. Sheck’s mom was convinced that her troublesome son needed a change and sent him to Senegal at age 17 after moving back and forth between Milwaukee and New York City.

Upon returning to Harlem, Sheck quickly got to work, giving up basketball and fashion to focus on music, which he had begun writing while abroad. He ultimately landed an Interscope-supported joint deal with Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack and Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. labels and and, during late 2017 and early 2018, dropped the tracks Mo Bamba (named after basketball star and friend Mohamed Bamba), Do That and Live SheckWes Die Sheck Wes. Furthermore, he modeled for Yeezy and V-Files and became close friends with Travis Scott, who Sheck calls “his big brother”.
