Różnorodność i potencjał ciała

Workshops within the cycle Ciałoprzestrzeń of Theater Institute. During each session the participants will experience different aspects of the body – moving, embodying and discovering its resources. Their task will be to deal with the body as an expression of personality, the layers of the body and their potential. The organic body as an expression and the potential of organs. The body as present, integrated with the senses. The animal body and the potential of movement patterns. Depending on your interests and needs, the topics of individual classes may be modified.

The events will be led by Iwona Olszowska – dancer, improviser, choreographer, Somatic Movement Educator using the BMC method, teacher at the Academy of Music in Łódź, choreography coach at Hurtownia Ruchu, somatic therapist at Kontakt Przestrzeń Tańca i Ruchu. Learned from Jacek Tomasik, Linda Caldwell, Karen Studd during contemporary dance workshops in Poland and USA. She has collaborated with Melissa Monteros, Wojciech Mochniej, Michel Schumacher, Risa Jaroslow, Maida Withers, Milan Kozanek, Bob Eisen, Pierre Deloche, Lars Parsson, Renata Piotrowska, Marta Pietruszka, Ewa Szubstarska and Warsaw Dance Department. She is the founder of the Experimental Dance Studio EST and supervisor of the Dance Area at the Barakah Theatre. She has danced in USA, Canada, Finland, Russia, England, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Italy, Portugal, Israel, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia and at festivals in Poland. Currently, he creates solo projects, collaborates with musicians such as: Marcin Janus, Dellirium Art of The Future and dancers: Paweł Konior, Pracownia Fizyczna, Agnieszka Noster, Magdalena Przybysz, Anna Haracz, Jacek Owczarek, Paulina Świecańska, Polish Dance Theatre, Warsaw Dance Department, Dance Teraphy Movement, Carte Blanche. She teaches at festivals abroad and in Poland, including Circulation, Kaleidoscope, Steps, Spacer, Baletoff Festival, Dance Zone, Zawirowania, Warsaw Flow.
