Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) is one of five London symphony orchestras. He lives in Cadogan Hall. In 1946, Sir Thomas Bukam formed the RPO. In the first years of its activity, the orchestra won profitable recording contracts and important orders, including Glyndebourne Festival Opera and concerts of the Royal Philharmonic Society. After Beecham's death in 1961, the fate of the orchestra fell sharply, she fought for survival until the mid-1960s, when her future was secured after a public grant was recommended in the Art Council report; another crisis appeared in the same era when it seemed that the orchestra's right to be called "Royal" could be withdrawn.
