Rolf Kühn Quartett

Rolf Kühn easily overcomes all limits. The music with the young bandmates Johannes Fink, Ronny Graupe and Christian Lillinger is present, in the truest sense of the word. The musicians are uncompromising in the moment of the game, their music changes from swinging sounds to hypermodern city sounds, from warmth to energetic outbursts, in constant dialogue between the musicians. Amazed, the listener perceives the lived possibilities of music, varied and novel sounds, rhythms interwoven with them, highest virtuosity alternating with the reduction to the essence of what is said.
