Rodinná komentovka: Volání lesa & Sochy domů
Visitors have the opportunity to walk through the exhibitions The Call of the Forest and Sculptures of Houses by Kristof Kintera together with their family. The lecturer will focus on curious questions and interesting aspects of the exhibited works.
The Call of the Forest is the first institutional exhibition of Kristýna and Mark Milde in Prague. It presents works that playfully challenge the dichotomies of nature and culture. Illustrations of blurred boundaries between the domestic and the wild are interspersed with novel elements and materials. Among the essential parts of the exhibition are works created specifically for Kunsthalle Praha - a New York taxi full of living trees Arbomobile (2024) and the video animation Call of the Forest(2024), which vividly fill the space of Gallery 3. In the park on Klárova Street opposite Kunsthalle Praha, visit the gateway to the sculptural microcity of artist Krištof Kintera, who has planted sculptures of houses - seven Prague realisations from the second half of the last century. The concrete miniature buildings, sensitively inserted into the uneven terrain, collectively reflect a traditional urban ensemble based on existing, demolished or utopian buildings. There is no shortage of church, bank, television transmitter, department store, central telecommunications building, housing estate or hotel. Everything is in natural symbiosis with the central and only original element of the park - the 1958 statue of a girl with a dove by Václav Šimek.
The park is suitable for families with children from 5 years old. Get a ticket for yourself and your child.
