Reka
Reka is a German DJ and producer from Berlin, who mixes contemporary techno with the prototypical past of electro in her DJ sets.
Reka started collecting records at the age of ten, and at the same time became equally passionate about science, and it was only after she finished her degree in genetics that Reka also started her artistic career. Her knowledge and deep analytical traits are also reflected in her insightful musical narratives. Just one year into her DJ career, she was discovered by DJ Hell and joined Deejay Gigolos as part of the female duo leChic International. They released the critically acclaimed mix CD leMix. After a few years, Reka was selected to participate in the Toronto edition of the Red Bull Music Academy and realized she wanted to pursue solo avenues that sounded darker and leaned more towards experimental.
Currently, Reka lives in Berlin and is a resident at the legendary club Tresor. In addition to being a resident DJ, she also enjoys her role as curator of her own W.A.V.E.S. nights or Tresor New Faces, where she regularly scouts new talent. Her extensive experience and wide musical span have shown her to be an extremely versatile artist who always delivers strong performances.
