Püdelsi

The band Pudelsi (stylized as Püdelsi) was formed in 1985 in Krakow by musicians associated with the band Düpą, led by Andrzej "Pudel" Bieniasz. A year later, the group performed at the Jarocin Festival. In 1987, they released their debut album Bela Pupa, recorded with Kora and Maciej Maleńczuk. The band then suspended activity. It reactivated in the late 1990s, releasing the albums Viribus Unitis, Narodziny Zbigniewa and Psychopop. However, in 2000 the band took a break from playing again, this time for a year.

In 2002, Maciej Maleńczuk joined the band, followed by the albums Wolność słowa and Legendarni Püdelsi 1986-2004 – Jasna Strona in 2003. In 2005 Maleńczuk left the group and Szymon Goldberg became the new singer in the band, with whom two albums were released – Zen and Madame Castro. In 2010, Piotr Foreman became the new frontman. Püdelsi have 10 studio albums to their credit. The latest so far is the 2017 album Über Alles. On 20 January 2021, band leader Andrzej Bieniasz died as a result of a rare lymphoma.
