Psymon Spine

Psymon Spine is a Brooklyn-based band combining psychedelic pop and the deep groove of dance music. The group's genesis goes back to when Noah Prebish and Peter Spears met in college and momentarily found a common thread - they wanted to create something experimental yet accessible and satisfying. Their starting point was inspired by artists such as Talking Heads and Os Mutantes and the surging New York dance scene. In time, they were also joined by keyboardist and producer Brother Michael, already as a trio they released their debut You Are Coming to My Birthday in 2017. Prebish also played for a while in dream pop band Barrie, where he met vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Sabine Holler, who eventually completed the line-up of Psymon Spine. While absorbing and exploring experimental electronic sounds, the musicians do not shy away from the high-energy broken disco rhythms, the building tension of early techno, and the relentless pulsating motorics associated with krautrock.
