During the lecture "The Psychology of Interrogation," you will have the opportunity to learn how to conduct a conversation aimed at obtaining information. Among other things, the program will explain what interrogation actually is, what processes it generates in the person being interrogated, the importance of information about the person being interrogated in the context of setting up questions, and what reactions stress and lying cause. We will also discuss the psychology of conversation, i.e. how to talk and not just talk, and how to recognize the motivation of an act or a lie. The lecture will be led by Natalia Hofman, a certified expert in reading emotions, body language, recognizing microexpressions and the psychology of lying. Graduate of Psychology at the University of Lodz and of Investigative Psychology at the SWPS University in Warsaw. She trains and participates in the process of investigative interviews in companies (the so-called civil interrogations), lie recognition during debt collection interviews or prevention of fraud in banks. Her first authoritative book on the topic of lie recognition How to Detect a Lie was published in 2020.
