Proletaryat
Proletaryat is a Polish rock band from Pabianice, formed in November 1987. The following year it recorded a demo cassette Revolt on an independent label, which attracted the attention of the music industry. In 1989 the band performed at the Jarocin festival, where they won audience and journalist awards. In 1990-91, two albums were released: Proletaryat and Proletaryat II. Subsequent albums - Czarne Szeregi (1993), IV (1994), Zuum (1996) and Made in U.S.A. (1999) presented increasingly new artistic faces of the band. In between these studio albums, the band also released two live albums and the compilation The Best of.... After a break of several years, Proletaryat released new albums ReC and Recycling in 2006. In the same year, Jarosław Siemieniowicz left the band, to be replaced by Konrad ‘Wołowina’ Jeremus. The band's next work is the album Prawda, released in September 2010, recorded with new guitarist Witek Daraszkiewicz. In December of the same year, a computer game was released, for which the band recorded the track Time To Rise, inspired by the works of Chopin. Almost eight years after the release of Oko za oko, the legendary Polish band returned with the album *Ząb za ząb’ in 2023.
Proletaryat is a band-monolith, which has released 11 studio albums and played hundreds of concerts in Poland and abroad during its 35 years of activity. The metal band from Pabianice took listeners' hearts by storm back in the 1980s. Today, it proves that it still has a lot to say both on stage and in the studio.
