Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk
On the 30th November 2004, the Mayor of the City of Gdansk – Paweł Adamowicz – wrote in a letter to the then President of PZPN (Polish Football Association), Michał Listkiewicz: "Taking into consideration your efforts for gaining the right to organize the European Football Championships 2012 in Poland and Ukraine, I would like, on behalf of Gdańsk inhabitants, to ensure you that we are ready take the responsibility and the honour related to the co-organization of such a prestigious football event". In such a way the history of the Stadion Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk has started.
