Poletíme?

Pletíme? is a Czech folk punk band from Brno, founded in 2007 by artist and songwriter Rudolf Brančovský.

The music is mainly based on the sound of the banjo, which was a novelty for Rudolf Brančovský's songs. He makes no secret of his inspiration from Buty, Traband or Ivan Mládek. They called their style "original banjo punk future jazz band" and "turbošanson" (the name of one of the band's albums) – a combination of rock, swing, punk, folk, chanson and country. The band emphasizes witty, poetic and at the same time straightforward lyrics. In a light-hearted way, they talk about difficult or sad things, but in a cheerful and lively rhythm. Thanks to the unconventional instrumentation alone, with which the band handles punk as well as jazz.

The band's bandleader, banjo player, singer, songwriter and main personality is the artist Rudolf Brančovský with a distinctive voice "damaged" by smoking and drinking. Jáchym Hajek (trumpet), Pavel Krizovensky (saxophone, flute), Vojta Konecny (violin), Ondrej Hajek (piano), Vit Kravacek (bass guitar), Michal Jez (drums). The band regularly performs at Czech festivals such as United Islands, Colours of Ostrava, Jam Rock, Rock for People, Trutnov and others.
