PQ Studio: Festival: Sombreiro

"How might shadow be manipulated and culturally constructed in dance performances?"

This question motivated the development of the solo Sombreiro. The choreography investigates the potential of lighting design to foreground shadow in a dance performance. Sombreiro is one of the results of a Ph.D. practice-led research in Dance developed at the University of Chichester. The Ph.D. was funded by the Coordination and Improvement of Higher Level or Education Personnel.
