Festival Spectaculare: Rafales

A wave-like dance duet that resembles movement like gusts of wind. Choreographer Benjamin Betrand, in his fascinating performance entitled Rafales, explores the stability and rhythm of two bodies in vibration of sound waves, muscle tension and the friction of one‘s skin against another's. He was inspired by an unpredictable airborne substance that intertwines through matter. The distinctive sound design was prepared by Florent Colautti, a renowned French electro-acoustic experimenter who invents his own musical instruments.
