Malina Prześluga calls the convention in which she wrote her art "pseudo-realism". In order to write a play about the Polish countryside, the author had to face two "untruths" that apply today to the countryside. One is to show the countryside as a habitat for all evil, poverty, depravity, pathology and disgust. The second is an idyllic image of a healthy, quiet and ecological village, which is a place of desire of the middle class of larger cities. Exposing both these myths, the author decided to write a pure untruth that impersonates the truth. The grotesque plot and form allow the viewer to realize how flat and disrespectful thinking about contemporary Polish countryside is today and how untrue its image is even in contemporary drama or film.
