Piotr Iwański
Pianist, arranger. He gained his education from such musicians as Wojciech Majewski, Michał Tokaj, Andrzej Jagodziński and Marcin Banaszek. The centre of his musical interests is jazz, songs and classical music. He performs as a solo pianist, accompanist and member of several bands of different musical character (e.g. Grzeczni Chłopcy, Gant & Sava, Michał Skwierczyński Quartet). He is involved in performances for adults and children in Warsaw theatres and cooperates with the Education Department of the National Philharmonic. He has collaborated with Czesław Mozil and Joanna Kulig. As a pianist and arranger, he worked for the Copernicus Science Centre and the Reserved brand. In music, he values economy and restraint - so that every sound played is more responsible. Together with PSJ Trio he won the Grand Prix in the National Competition CEA in the specialty Jazz Ensembles in 2017.
