Phoenix

Nelly Lenz, a Jewish singer, survives the Auschwitz concentration camp, but is disfigured and seriously injured. Together with her faithful friend, Lene, she returns to what's left of Berlin. She has only one goal: to find her husband, a musician, in the ruins of the city. She wants to find out if he still loves her and if he was the one who turned her in to the Nazis, as Lene claims. When she finds him, however, her husband does not recognize her. And to make matters worse, he asks her to pretend to be Nelly. All so he can embrace her inheritance.
