Peter Weniger

Peter Weniger is a German jazz saxophonist. He is active as a composer and bandleader as well as a teacher / jazz-educator at many workshops in Germany and abroad. Numerous awards (such as the German Record Critics' Prize, the SWR Jazz Prize), awards and tours underline his acknowledged musical integrity. Since October 1999 he teaches as a professor at the University of the Arts in Berlin and is since 2005, with a one-year break, artistic director of the internationally renowned Jazz Institute Berlin.
