Paweł Szamburski will play material from his debut album Ceratitis Capitata with liturgical music of five Mediterranean religions. The artist conducts a concert based on sound, but also on word. This introduces the listener to a deeper – musicological context, as well as the relationship with the artist, his expression and message. The music itself – for the clarinet solo, taking up the themes of religious songs – is an intimate, subjective journey into the Sufi, Orthodox, Bahai, Jewish and Christian traditions.

Paweł Szamburski – the artist has been active on the independent music scene for 20 years, focused mainly on the Lado ABC environment. With Bastard’s band, he reinterprets early and medieval music in a contemporary way; in the duo SzaZa he works in an interdisciplinary field. He composes for film, theatre, silent cinema and radio plays.
