ul. Smolna 38,
Minimal Techno, Techno, industrial techno
Slam, Antigone, Deas and AGIM will play in Smolna on the 19th of January.
In the past two decades, Slam have defined techno in Scotland, cultivated many artists of note on their Soma label, and remixed everyone from Daft Punk to Underworld. The legendary UK duo, comprising of Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle, have travelled far and wide, leaving scorch marks on dance-floors worldwide, touring Australia, the USA, Europe, South America and Japan. They hold residencies at 3 of the UK’s best clubs (The Arches & Sub Club in their home town of Glasgow and Fabric in London).
Apart from them Antigone will play – a resident of the cult Concrete club in Paris, and a DJ being called key in the return of popularity of techno music in the city. He debuted in 2011 with the Forbidden Works EP on the Construct Re-Form label. Since then, his techno creations have surfaced on imprints Indigo Aera, Dement3d, and most recently on his Saudade EP on Token, along with Concrete’s in-house label. Operating in a genre often obsessed with unrelenting darkness, Antigone’s love of hypnotic, melodic sounds sets him apart from his peers, which is likely why he’s also been tapped to DJ in high-profile clubs around the world. The Polish representants Deas and AGIM close the line-up.
