Parra for Cuva

Indulging in his relentless fascination for sound and harmony, Nicolas Demuth, aka Parra For Cuva, commenced his quest for music at a very young age. Starting with classical piano and taking stops in Jazz, Pop and Indie music, the young artist soon developed a strong passion for electronic music that made him leave the countryside and to big and creative Berlin. Using musical instruments, synthesizers and digital music editing, the audio designer masters the art of creating intelligent, intertwined music pieces from melodies, soft beats and sounds that he records in daily life. He often incorporates elements of downtempo, deep house and ambient music into his compositions. As a multi-instrumentalist, he experiments with the sound of musical instruments from around the world and likes to use ethnic and acoustic elements in his work. He is known for his melodic and atmospheric sound.

After chart-topping singles and two acclaimed albums, Majouré (2014) and Darwîś (2016), a breakthrough came with the release of Paspatou(2018). The following fourth studio album Juno (2021) involved collaborations with seven musicians from around the world.

Parra for Cuva returns in 2026 with a new a LP – Nacar – and world tour that signal a fresh phase in his creative journey. His music continues to explore the meeting point between electronic production and organic sound, blending instruments, textures, and melodies into immersive, emotive landscapes.

With over 1 billion streams, and collaborations with ODESZA, Ólafur Arnalds, Glass Animals, and Monolink, Parra for Cuva has quietly built an international audience. He has appeared at festivals such as Burning Man, Sziget, and Fusion, known for live performances that emphasize atmosphere and emotion over spectacle.
