Pawel Soltys, known as Pablopavo, is a Polish writer, singer-songwriter and composer. Since 2003, he has been a key member of the well-known Polsih reggae band Vavamuffin; he has also played and sung in the bands Saduba, Magara and Sedativa, and co-founded the soundsystems Zjednoczenie and Ba-lan. In 2009, he began his solo career. His output as Pablopavo (most often created with the backing band Ludziki), is difficult to categorize—traversing urban folk, dub, ragga and pop rock; its constant features are ties to Warsaw and social involvement. Hee is the winner of the 2014 Polityka Passport in the Popular Music category. Three years later, he was nominated in the Literature category for his short story collection Mikrotyki, for which he was also nominated for a Nike award. As Pablopavo, he has released seven albums to date—the latest being Mozaika from 2022, again recorded with Ludziki.
