Ozan Ata Canani & Karaba
Ozan Ata Canani & Karaba is a collaboration between the artist Ozan Ata Canani and the jazz band Karaba.
In the late 1970s, Ata Canani invented Turkish rock'n'roll in German, drawing attention to the discrimination and harsh living conditions of Turkish guest workers*. In 2013 Ata came to the attention of the music scene and released a new album Warte mein Land, warte in 2021.
Karaba consists of Marcel Maier, Louis Bankvas, Jakob Thun and Andreas Kainz. The band's music is characterized by the mixture of progressive, jazz and Krautsounds.
