Slzy Janka Borodáča Theatre's production Outcast is based on S. Zweig's memoir The World of Yesterday, with an interpretive focus on the current tense political and social situation in Europe.

The devastation of society and culture, the dangers of nationalism and propaganda. In his autobiography, Zweig conveys an image of old Europe and also introduces the important theme of pacifism with which contemporary Europeans are also confronted.

The diary of contemporary Europeans is also formed through personal stories, which are interwoven with Zweig's contemporary testimony. Themes such as generational succession, clinical depression, coping with parenthood, the corruption of the judiciary at the loss of a loved one, reflections on emigration and so on are raised. Uncompromising thought duels in physical poems and verbal choreographies will be mediated by Gabriela Marcinková and Anna Jakab Rakovská.
