The Public Domain is a growing part of culture, which everyone can freely use without asking anyone for permission. On the first of January, thousands of photos, paintings, books, music and films go into the public domain. It is a joyful holiday for everyone, because these works are a common heritage, which enables unlimited creativity – publishing, remixing, rewriting and creating completely new works on the basis of those that have already been created. In 2019, the public domain will be joined by works by, among others, architect Adolf Szyszko Bohusz, filmmaker Sergei Eisenstein and anthropologist Ruth Benedict.
15.30 – workshops for creators, employees and employees of cultural institutions run by the organisers and partners of the event.
18:00 – debate with the participation of artists, among others Misia Furtak,
20:00 – performance of the Comedy Club
