Vyšehrad Through the Eyes of Notable Persons

The walk is especially suitable for adults.

The start of the walk will be in front of the Tábor Gate, in the southern part of Vyšehrad, and will continue along the entire fortress to the Basilica of St. Peter and Paul. Participants will gradually learn about the peculiar inhabitant of the local toll-house Popelka (Cinderella) Biliánová (journalist, writer and Vyšehrad patriot), and about the doctor Rudolf Jedlička (founder of the local institution for disabled children and a luxury sanatorium in Podolí). They will walk through the places this doctor visited with his girlfriend, and the nooks described in Cinderella's feuilletons. During the walk, participants will learn about ancient history and radical changes in life in this part of Prague a hundred years ago.
