GoGo Penguin

GoGo Penguin present their filmmusical composition and accompaniment live to Godfrey Reggio's cult classic Koyaanisqatsi.

Originally underpinned by Phlip Glass, Koyaanisqatsi is an impressive masterpiece and among the band's favourite films. As early as 2015, GoGo Penguin wrote and performed the score of this film as part of the opening for Home – a center for international and contemporary theater and film art in Manchester.

GoGo Penguin's emotionally charged music is currently opening a dialogue with Reggio's profound imagery. In the fragile beauty and powerful hustle and bustle, the new film music and its performance reflect the film's original themes, creating an overwhelming audiovisual experience that appeals equally to GoGo Penguin fans and cult cineastes alike.
