Do not miss the lecture of two progressive studios in the series Belgic Inspiration with BC architects&studies and noAarchitecten.
A studio full of young architects dedicated to the upcycling of building materials just a few years after graduation. They produces brand new materials from debris or waste, along with their extensive research and innovative construction processes, which go hand-in-hand in their projects from Belgium to Morocco to Ethiopia.
The Flemish Studio is now working on the rebuilding of the former Citroën garages into the new multi-purpose cultural space KANAL, which is backed by the Paris Pompidou Museum. With an area of 35,000 square meters, this is the largest cultural space in Brussels, and here is a great architectural challenge presented by the co-founder of the studio, An Fonteyne.
