Otwarty Jazdów

Otwarty Jazdów is a community of the Warsaw estate of wooden Finnish cottages, conducting social, cultural, educational, artistic activities open to the public. Its mission is to bring together different groups to develop public space together, to create a social and cultural offer accessible to everyone, to test in practice alternative models of financing and monetary-free exchange, to cultivate gardens together and simply to have a good time.

The history of the Jazdów estate dates back to the end of the Second World War. The Finnish cottages, brought here in 1945, served as housing for the workers of the Capital Reconstruction Office. Today, Otwarty Jazdów combines public mission and residential functions. In the 27 cottages and adjacent gardens, residents, NGOs, urban gardeners and beekeepers, academics and students, artists and employees of companies, cooperatives, embassies and public institutions live and work side by side.
