The Polish Royal Opera was established with reference to the historical roots of the opera in Poland, dating back to the times of the Vasa dynasty. On the initiative of the great lover and patron of this play - King Władysław IV - the first permanent opera house in Europe was established at the Royal Castle in Warsaw in 1637. The golden time of the Polish opera is also the years of Stanisław August Poniatowski's reign. His excellent taste is due to the construction of the Royal Theatre in the Summer Residence Royal Łazienki - fortunately preserved from the destruction of the pearl among the few original 18th-century court theatres of this period, which will become an important place of activity of the Polish Royal Opera. The Polish Royal Opera takes up this tradition in a new reality, the reality of the European Community and the Republic of Poland, and builds its duty and identity around the cardinal and fundamental values of European culture, which are constantly and invariably Truth, Good, and Beauty.
